As Chief Integration Officer, Mike is responsible for helping lead SHO’s Value-Based Care (VBC) operations, developing a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN), and managing the selection and implementation of key strategic platforms for SHO members. Through enhancing current services and developing new initiatives, Mike’s role focuses on the performance of various VBC functions including but not limited to annual care, risk management, utilization management, provider enablement, and incentive alignment. This includes providing tactical and operational support to SHO’s members by enhancing the implementation and performance of Population Health Management Initiatives and VBC functions. In this position, Mike is equipped to establish an organizational culture around Value-Based Care and integration consistent with SHO’s values, while developing organizational change and a passion for continuous improvement.

Other responsibilities include:

• Accountable for ACO and CIN performance, strategic growth initiatives, and general integration efforts.
• Collaborates with medical management, network management, regulatory performance, analytics, and information technology to meet contractual SHO and member regulatory VBC requirements.
• Builds and maintains member and industry relationships through regular participation in weekly and monthly meetings.
• Develops and implements strategies to achieve organizational strategic vision, change management, and improve performance.
• Responsible for delivering services at the SHO member facilities and promoting best practices to maximize care delivery and efficiencies.
• Assists in the development of clinical protocols using best practices to provide consistency and drive performance outcomes for VBC.
• Evaluates projects, initiatives, vendors, and partnership opportunities for strategic fit with the organization’s objectives to guide resources within SHO.
• Provides SHO members with support to manage, develop, and train a team of clinical and non-clinical teammates specific to VBC operations and incentive alignment.
