“Today, an extra special patient graduated from Acute Rehab and was discharged from the hospital. Gerald, a 91-year-old Vietnam and Korean war veteran, was admitted to Riverview Health on March 21 as he tested positive for COVID-19. After spending ten days on Med/Surg and ICU, he was eventually moved to Acute Rehab where his stay was extended another ten days. Today, after beating COVID-19, Gerald was finally discharged from the hospital! Though this time can be scary and uncertain, stories like Gerald’s keep us going every day.”
