Nearly ten years ago, the Fairbanks School of Public Health introduced the Distinguished Alumni Award. This honor is given to an alumnus who has made a substantial impact throughout their career and is chosen by the Public Health Alumni Board. This year’s recipient of the 2023-24 Distinguished Alumni Award is Kelly Braverman, president and CEO of Witham Health Services.
With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Ms. Braverman possesses an abundance of valuable skills, knowledge, and leadership qualities. She earned a Masters in Health Administration in 2002 and went on to complete a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. Ms. Braverman is also an alumnus of the Randall L. Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executive (ACHE).
In addition to this achievement, Kelly Braverman was the recipient of the Indiana Healthcare Executive Network Platinum Award as well as the American College of Healthcare Executive Distinguished Service Award. Alongside being a board member for SHO, Ms. Braverman was recently chairman of the board for the United Schools of Indianapolis.
A friend of Ms. Braverman’s, Dr. Alex Choi, noted that her level of commitment is commendable and her ability to gain the trust of those around her is a testament to her character. She puts those who work with her and for her, first. It is because of this that those working at Witham Health Services understand and execute on the mission of their organization.
