Please join us in welcoming the new President and CEO of Logansport Memorial Hospital, Tara McVay.
Tara P. McVay, RN, MSN, has been a key member of the Logansport Memorial Hospital team for over 25 years, with expertise in multiple sectors. She began in 1997, working in various nursing roles before joining the Executive Leadership team in 2013. She was named Chief Nursing Officer in 2015. She is the first woman to step into the CEO role at Logansport Memorial, after nearly 100 years of the organization’s operation.
In July of 2023, Logansport Memorial Hospital received the CMS 5-Star designation; Ms. McVay was a large contributor to this achievement. With her focus on quality, nursing recruitment and retention increased. She also worked to establish partnerships with local universities to provide opportunities for professional development within the workforce.
Ms. McVay attended Purdue University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, then went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. She serves as chairman of the West Central Indiana Patient Safety Coalition and is a member of the Midwest Indiana Organization of Nursing Leaders. Additionally, Ms. McVay is a member of the 4C Board of Directors and holds a seat on the Indiana University Kokomo and Ivy Tech Advisory Boards.
